I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCS 18903) and received my training at Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts. I have been providing therapy to individuals, couples, groups, and families for over 15 years and have worked with patients in medical clinics, psychiatric inpatient units, schools, and in private practice. I love helping a wide variety of individuals and have worked with folks as young as 5 years and as experienced as 73!

I am psychodynamically trained, which means I focus on how a person’s early-life experience shapes their view of the world, their own self-concept, and their interactions with others. I am also primarily attachment-focused, meaning that I believe that the quality of an individual’s primary relationships at a young age is of vital importance to their formation of self.

I strive to balance a warm, nurturing, accepting style with an ability to gently hold clients accountable to their own goals and stated values. People I work with describe me as insightful, non-judgmental, and easy to open up to.

We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know
